Island Glass Company fabricates custom window and door screens for homes and businesses across Whittier and the surrounding Southern California cities. We rebuild screens on your existing frames or build new frames to match — so the breeze comes in and the bugs stay out.
What we build
- Window screens — full-frame or half-frame, for single-hung, double-hung, slider, casement, and awning windows
- Sliding patio door screens — full-height screens that roll in their own track alongside a sliding glass door
- Swing patio door screens — hinged screen doors for French patios
- Security screens — heavy-duty metal mesh screens that double as a physical barrier
- Retractable screens — roll-away screens for single doors, double doors, and large openings
- Pool and patio enclosure screens — large panel screens for outdoor rooms
Mesh options
- Standard fiberglass mesh — charcoal or gray, the default for most residential windows
- Solar screen mesh — dark mesh that blocks 80-90% of sun, significantly cuts heat gain through windows
- Pet-resistant mesh — heavier weave that resists claws and rough traffic
- No-see-um fine mesh — extra-fine weave to keep out tiny insects
- Stainless steel security mesh — for security screen doors and windows
Frame options
Aluminum frames in white, tan, bronze, black, or mill finish to match the existing window. Screen corners are fitted with reinforced plastic corner keys for a tight square frame.
Rebuilds vs. new frames
If your existing screen frame is straight and the corners are solid, we can rescreen it — strip the old mesh, clean the spline channel, and install new mesh and spline. If the frame is bent, cracked, or corroded, we build a new frame to match. Either way the turnaround is usually same-day to next-day.
