Wardrobe Doors

Island Glass Company installs mirrored and frosted glass wardrobe doors for bedrooms and closets across Whittier and Southern California.

Wardrobe Doors

Island Glass Company installs sliding and bypass wardrobe doors for bedrooms, dressing rooms, and closets across Whittier and the surrounding Southern California cities. The right wardrobe doors make a bedroom feel larger, improve light, and replace tired builder-grade closet doors with a clean modern finish.

What we install

  • Mirrored sliding doors — full-height mirror panels mounted on aluminum tracks, the classic bedroom closet upgrade and the best trick for making a small room feel twice its size
  • Frosted glass sliding doors — opaque glass panels for a cleaner, more contemporary look without the reflective surface
  • Clear glass sliding doors — for walk-in closets where the interior is a feature, not something to hide
  • Bypass doors — two-panel systems that slide past each other on parallel tracks
  • Bypass with soft-close — upgraded hardware that pulls the door in quietly on the last few inches
  • Top-hung and bottom-rolling systems — depending on the floor, carpet, and how heavy the door is

Glass options

  • 1/4-inch safety-backed mirror — vinyl-backed so the glass stays on the backing if it breaks
  • 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch frosted glass — acid-etched or sandblasted for even opacity
  • Tinted, smoked, or bronze glass — for a custom color tone in the bedroom
  • Reed, fluted, or patterned glass — decorative textures with built-in privacy

Frame finishes

Aluminum track and frame finishes include polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, champagne bronze, and white. For modern installations we can specify a slim 1-inch frame. For traditional looks we step up to a wider frame with more trim detail.

Installation

Most wardrobe door installations are completed in a single morning. We measure the existing opening, verify the header and floor are level, deliver and install the doors, adjust the rollers for smooth operation, and level the panels. The result should feel effortless to open and sit completely flat to the opening.

Service area

Island Glass Company installs wardrobe doors in Whittier, Pico Rivera, La Habra, Santa Fe Springs, Norwalk, Downey, La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Brea, Fullerton, La Puente, Montebello, Monterey Park, and Cerritos.

Wardrobe Doors — FAQs

What's the difference between a polished and a beveled mirror edge? +

A polished (flat) edge is ground smooth and clear - the cleanest, most modern look. A beveled edge adds a 1/2 to 1-inch angled cut around the perimeter that catches light and gives a classic, framed appearance even without a frame. Beveled edges typically add $40 to $120 to a standard bathroom mirror, depending on size.

Can you cut a mirror to a custom size? +

Yes. Every mirror we install is cut to your exact opening, whether it's a wall-to-wall vanity mirror, a custom closet door, or a fitness studio wall. We measure on site, fabricate in our shop, and deliver a mirror with sealed edges and your choice of polished, beveled, or safety-backed finish. Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days.
